In A Lighter Vein...

Okay, so maybe I am a big fan.

Had some Dropkick Murphys in a post last week, I've been exploring their catalog. Yeah, Celtic punk, it's a thing. They have some really great tunes, some of which I'll be sharing over the weeks ahead. (No, don't worry, I'm not turning The Chant into a music revue, though if Tuna and Juvat wanna jump in on that, I'll not stand in their way.)

For some reason (perhaps because they're fellow New Englanders and fellow Celts) Dropkick Murphys' music has struck a chord (pun intended) in me as of late. They even have a website.

The rhythms of this music (if not the actual content) tugs at something ancestral in me. I enjoy it and these lads rock. Bit rough around the edges aye, but so am I from time to time. Though I've mellowed a lot in my old age!

As it's the holiday season, give this one a listen. I can't say my family ever behaved this way over the holidays, but it looks like fun. And the kids are cute, well, most of 'em.
